Here's how it works:

If a bookseller, librarian or publisher's representative comes across a writer whom they have read and feel are deserving of the next level (i.e. consideration for representation), they should direct the writer to go to the www.publishorperishagency.com submission page and complete the online questionnaire including the name, email address, and phone number of the recommending bookseller, librarian or publisher's representative.

I encourage writers reading this page to contact their local booksellers or library program director and discuss this program as submissions that are made through this process will have a priority status.

If I feel that I am in a position to properly represent the work, I will be in contact with both the writer and the affiliate "scout" to finalize the proper agreements including the writer's agreement for representation and the PUBLISH OR PERISH AGENCY affiliate revenue share agreement. (The fine print: The program outlined here does not constitute a legal offer which can only be entered into with a signed agency/affiliate agreement).

This offer is not a finder's fee. This will be a legitimate revenue share opportunity on all agency commissions collected during the life of the book. This revenue share will be a percentage of the standard agency fee collected from the publisher, not the author.

Recommendations regarding submissions, terms and other process matters will certainly be welcome, however, the ultimate decisions are at the sole discretion of this agency.

Corporate booksellers may participate in this program in accordance with their corporate policy manual and the terms of the signed affiliate agreement. The PUBLISH OR PERISH AGENCY Affiliate Agreement for corporate booksellers will include language that will be specific to the individual and not constitute any agreement between the PUBLISH OR PERISH AGENCY and the corporate bookseller's place of employment.

The PUBLISH OR PERISH AGENCY Affiliate Agreement for librarians and publisher's representatives will be specific to the individual and will not constitute any agreement between the PUBLISH OR PERISH AGENCY and the individual's place of employment.
